Phyllis Fagell
Phyllis L. Fagell, LCPC is a nationally board certified school counselor, a therapist who works with kids and families in private practice at The Chrysalis Group in Bethesda, Maryland, an educational consultant, and an author and journalist. She’s the author of the bestselling books “Middle School Matters” and “Middle School Superpowers” (Hachette Books) and a frequent contributor to The Washington Post. She also freelances for publications including Psychology Today, CNN, Working Mother, U.S. News & World Report and Your Teen, and her ideas have been shared in outlets including The New York Times, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Edutopia, Mindshift and NPR. Phyllis speaks at schools and organizations nationally and internationally on a broad range of topics related to counseling, education and parenting. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and three children.
David Keeler
David has been spending his career bridging the worlds of business and creativity. With a rich background in coaching business leaders and nurturing the talents of artists via his work with firms like VF Corporation and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, David has perfected the art of unlocking potential and fostering growth. David possesses a unique skill set tailored to creating an app that helps teenagers coach themselves to their highest potential.
David has spent much of the last decade studying human psychology and emotions, drawing upon the findings of leading researchers and practitioners. He has witnessed the formative changes in his and his clients’ lives. By creating Congruence, he is bringing teenagers an instrumental tool for their journey of self-discovery, growth, and success.
David lives in North Lake Tahoe with his wife, two children, and yellow Labrador Retriever. He coaches his son’s soccer team, applying everything he learned about the game from watching Ted Lasso.
